As we close out 2025, our hearts are overflowing - with gratitude, with memories from countless incredible markets, and with pride as we celebrated a huge milestone… our 7th Birthday!
Haddington Corn Exchange Market: A New Chapter in the Heart of East Lothian.
Discover our brand-new Haddington Corn Exchange Market — an exciting new chapter in the heart of East Lothian’s vibrant creative scene.
Our first event at this historic venue welcomed over 700 visitors and showcased 38 incredible makers, offering everything from handcrafted homewares and textiles to jewellery, prints, skincare, gifts, and delicious handmade treats.
Set in central Haddington, the Corn Exchange proved the perfect backdrop for connecting local shoppers with talented small businesses and independent makers. With original artworks finding new homes, amazing feedback from visitors, and several makers calling it their “best market of the year,” this launch event was a huge success.
We were thrilled to welcome many new makers into the Support The Makers community, and the warm atmosphere has already made this venue feel like home. We can’t wait to return in 2026 with more markets and creative workshops.

A Community Celebration to Remember
Two days. Four venues. Over forty events. And one big beautiful vision that brought Portobello to life.
The very first Porty Festival took place in May, and we’re still feeling the buzz. Co-founded by Carmen from Support the Makers and Seb from Seb’s Urban Jungle, the weekend was a true collaboration—brought to life by a shared love for community, creativity and all things Porty.
With just a tiny budget but huge ambition, they rallied a town, gathered incredible local talent, and gave us a festival that felt like it had always belonged.
