Portobello Town Hall Windows
A little something new at Portobello Town Hall…
We’re always up for trying something new, so when we were offered the opportunity to use the windows at Portobello Town Hall, of course we said YES!
We wanted to use the space to shout about our upcoming Makers Markets, but also thought it was the perfect opportunity to showcase some of our wonderful local creative talent too.
We put a call out for local illustrators and were completely blown away by the number of submissions we received! It definitely made choosing incredibly difficult, but we’re SO delighted to finally have these beautiful illustrations up in the windows, where they’ll be staying for the next few months.
A massive thank you to local business Dougal’s and Portobello Town Hall for getting behind the idea and helping with sponsorship towards the printing costs we really appreciate the support.
And a big thank you to Out of Hand Scotland for completely understanding the printing brief and helping us bring it all together.

Dougal’s is a warm and welcoming local right in the heart of Portobello, just moments from the beach.
Part of the Auld Boys family, it’s all about good company, friendly service and perfectly poured pints. With a brilliant beer garden and a relaxed neighbourhood feel, it’s a great spot to catch up with friends, enjoy a drink and soak up a little Porty sunshine.

With roots stretching back to 1914, this beautiful Neoclassical building has been brought back to life as a vibrant space for the local community, hosting everything from live music and theatre to markets, workshops, celebrations and community events.
A real Porty landmark, it’s wonderful to see the Town Hall once again buzzing with people, creativity and local activity.

Linsey Kelly is a Surface Pattern Designer and Illustrator, creating lush, intricately detailed designs inspired by the natural world, folklore and storytelling. Her work spans interiors, stationery, publishing, giftware and homewares.
Drawn to bold colour and time-honoured craft, Linsey blends botanical forms with playful creatures and curious animal motifs. Her work is influenced by block printing, Indonesian batik and Dutch Wax print, creating richly layered designs with a whimsical, ornamental feel.
